From this Web site you can download the software packages for the IBM 4764 PCI-X Cryptographic Coprocessor for either the Linux for System x 86Series or Windows Server 2003 server platforms. You can download the IBM CCA Support Program on an IBM ServerProven™ server with the following operating systems:

This package includes both host software and coprocessor firmware. You can also download the CCA host software to support the coprocessor when used on System z servers running supported versions of the Linux operating system. (Note that you obtain software for the Coprocessor features on IBM System z™ running z/OS from the z/OS organization, and for IBM i™ and IBM AIX® servers from the IBM Power Systems™ organization.)

Using subsequent Web pages, you can complete a registration process and then download the software that you require.

To obtain the software that you require, follow these steps:

Special note to Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system installers: The libXp RPM is required by the Installshield GUI installation. Not all Red Hat installations install this RPM by default. If error message "The installer is unable to run in graphical mode" occurs during installation of the CCA Support Program, install the libXp rpm and retry the installation.

Which software items should I download?

After you have determined the software download packages that you require, check for any known problems and software updates.

The IBM Tracking Serial Number and the customer number that was used to purchase the 4764 adapter from IBM will be needed later on the successive download Web page in order to request the download package. See the 4764 Serial Numbers pictorial for location of the IBM Tracking Serial Number.

Then proceed to the software-package selection page to complete the registration procedure and software download.

DEPRECATED: Obtaining CCA software for System z servers running Linux

The software installation package for CEX2C coprocessor support on System z servers running Linux is available for download, however it has been deprecated in favor of the the most recent CEX3C / 4765 host code release CCA software for System z servers running Linux, which includes CEX2C support. All new development should proceed with the updated package.
