The IBM Retail User Group has, for over 31 years, provided a platform for hundreds of Retailers, IBM and IBM Business Partners to advance retail systems technology, work together to find solutions and build a solid communications network.

The User Group represents an installed base of tens of thousands of IBM POS terminals and other in-store systems in all segments of the retail industry including Department Stores, Specialty Stores, Mass Merchandisers, Drug, Food Service, Hospitality and many others.

One of the few independent user groups still in existence, it is truly an organization run by retailers for retailers, providing an ongoing forum to share ideas that can benefit all members.

One of the key benefits of the User Group is its annual education conference. Each May, retail industry leaders meet to share best practices, attend workshops, explore real life case studies, network with fellow colleagues, learn about IBM solutions, both store-based and beyond, and provide feedback on new IBM products and directions.

The User Group will hold its 32nd annual conference at the JW Marriott Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 17-21, 2009.
