Supplier Diversity Certification Process
The Supplier Diversity Certification Process helps to ensure that targeted diverse companies are certified minority, women, disabled and/or small and disadvantage businesses.

Certification
As a part of IBM’s on-going commitment to supplier diversity, it is important that we maintain integrity in our tracking and reporting. Annually, we submit a subcontract plan to the federal government. The subcontract plan documents IBM’s planned purchases with minority businesses. Quarterly, IBM's purchases are submitted to our commercial customers, education institutions and state agencies. Since there are many companies wanting to do business with IBM, we have a responsibility to ensure any companies participating in this program are legitimate Minority and Women owned businesses. To aid in this quest, IBM accepts certifications from the following agencies:
