How do I get access to SQMS II?  Sign on to the Supply Portal. Choose, "My Portal: My Functions". Follow the selections for Engineering - SQMS II access.

What happens after I register for the SQMS II application?  SQMS II has an approval cycle where an administrator and/or coordinator will have to approve/reject the application. This process can take up to 3 business days. Once approved, you will be able to access SQMS II through the link in the Supply Portal under 'My Portal: My Functions'.

I’m having problems and need help. Where do I find support?  Call the IBM Global Procurement application support center.

How do I interpret the child supplier names?  Child supplier names are made up of 4 possible components: Supplier Name_Loc_Type_Mfgr Child Supplier Name:
  1. Parent Supplier Name is the company name found in the Supply Portal
  2. Location is the location from which the data comes (ALL is a valid location)
  3. Type: C is a commodity supplier that provides parts to IBM, M is a Boxline manufacturer, 2 is a tier 2 supplier that provides parts to a non-IBM Boxline mfr.
  4. Manufacturer Child Supplier Name: If the child name is type = tier 2, then the manufacturer that uses the part is specified.
Example of a child supplier name: Test Company_Fishkill_2_ZZZ Inc_Woodbury_M translates to a tier 2 company called Test Company, located in Fishkill is used by a non-IBM Boxline manufacturer ZZZ INC located in Woodbury. Any data submitted under this child supplier name is for data obtained by ZZZ INC on Test Companies products

What access levels are available in SQMS II? The following access levels are available in SQMS II:
  • Reader: Can view data and generate charts for only the authorized data groups.
  • Author/Editor: Can insert / modify / delete quality data for only the authorized data groups.

If I add, modify or delete quality data, when will the changes be available for internal and external viewing? The following table lists the maximum time it will take to replicate data through the internal and external systems:

What calendar does SQMS II use to map weeks to months?  SQMS II uses an algorithm to determine which work weeks go with which month. SQMS II work week starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. If the first of the month is on Sunday thru Wednesday, the work week is assigned to the current Month. If the first of the month is on a Thursday through Saturday, the work week is assigned to the previous month. See calendars:
