IBM announces the fourteenth IBM Technology Symposium to be held on November 13 and 14, 2012 (1 1/2 days), at the IBM Watson Research Center auditorium, in Yorktown Heights, New York. The theme for this year’s symposium is “Innovative Technologies for 2015 and Beyond." The purpose of the Symposium is to have a technical interchange between IBM and its suppliers and clients on topics related to energy efficiency, high-current power conversion, interconnect, packaging, mechanical, and thermal solutions. Topics of interest include power density improvements in AC/DC and DC/DC converters, server power efficiency improvements, efficient server power architectures, server reliability and availability requirements, server power management, high current and low inductance interconnect, packaging, reliability, lead-free solder process, anti-smoke design considerations, and components which facilitate these designs. This year, the keynote address will be presented by Bob Murphy, IBM Vice President Integrated Supply Chain, Global Hardware Execution, and John Acocella, IBM Vice President Systems Technology Group, Enterprise Systems and Technology Development. - Take the Henry Hudson Parkway north, which becomes the Saw Mill River parkway north.

John F. Kennedy International Airport
- Drive north on the Van Wyck Expressway to the Whitestone Expressway.
