Wood packaging requirements

IBM standard plywood pallets
These pallets are suitable for use globally and are non-regulated by virtue of their 100 percent construction using "manufactured wood packing material" (MWPM). Such pallets are now required for shipments to Brazil and to/from China due to delays associated with special paperwork or inspections associated with the use of solid wood which is regulated, even if it is properly heat treated. For all other countries, the use of regulated but heat treated (marked HT) solid wood is acceptable. Refer to 37L8024 below for complete materials and marking requirements.
