How do I access the Supply Portal?

How do I access restricted applications?

  1. The best way is for the user to provide the guest coordinator with the userid obtained at the IR site, then let the guest coordinator submit the enrollment request. Letting the guest coordinator submit the enrollment request is the preferred method because it gives the guest company greater control over its users’ access to Supply Portal applications, and the approval of the request takes less time.
  2. If the user does not know who the guest coordinator is, then the user can complete and submit the enrollment request directly. If you are a new guest user and do not know who your guest coordinator is, follow these steps to request application enrollment:
    • Access your personalized 'My Portal: My Functions' page from the Supply Portal overview.
    • Select the link for 'New User App. Enrollment'
    • A 'Supply Portal Terms' page containing the IBM Portal Service Agreement appears. Select 'I accept' if you agree with the terms and conditions and then continue with the registration. Select 'I do not accept' if you do not agree with the terms and conditions and you will be returned to the 'Public Portal' page..
    • The 'New User Enrollment (continues...)' page appears. Select the restricted applications for which you can enroll. Select one of the applications listed then select 'Continue'. Note: If you don’t see the application you want in the drop-down list, it may be because the application’s approval cycle does not allow new users to request enrollment. In this case, ask your company’s guest coordinator to request enrollment for you.
    • The next 'New User Enrollment (continues...)' page appears. Complete any fields on this page that have not been prefilled with user information from IR.
    • Type the name of your company in the Company name field.
    • Select the arrow in the 'Desired portal role' field to open a drop-down menu of roles. Select the appropriate role.
    • The remaining fields are self-explanatory. Fields designated with an asterisk (*) are required fields and must be completed to finish the transaction; other fields are optional. When finished, select 'Continue' at the bottom of the page. Note:The fields on this page are the same regardless of the application for which access is being requested. Your selections on a given New User Enrollment page will determine the number of subsequent pages and the fields and/or choices in the fields on those pages. The role requested in the Desired portal role field may not be the role assigned. Likewise, the choices selected or typed in other fields may not be the same as the choices you are assigned. The approvers of the request will make the final decision as to the role and other field choices you are assigned.
    • Depending on the application selected, a second and possibly more 'New User Enrollment (continues...)' pages will appear, each with its own set of fields for which you must provide input. Select 'Continue' after completing each page.
    • Once you have completed all of the 'New User Enrollment (continues)' pages, the 'New User Enrollment Final Review' page appears, displaying the selections you made on the previous 'New User Enrollment' pages. Review the information listed. If you need to make any changes, select your browser’s 'Back' button until you get to the applicable page, then continue from there until you get back to this step. If everything is correct, select 'Submit'.
    • A final 'New User Enrollment' page appears. Make a note of the request number, because having it handy will be helpful if you need to inquire about the status of your request. You will be notified of the status of your request through the E-mail address you provided on the first New User Enrollment (continues...) page. If your request is approved, a link to the application will appear on your personalized 'My Portal: My Functions' page.

Where do I register for an ID?

  1. Access the Supply Portal overview.
  2. Select 'Register'.
  3. In the Authentication settings section of the 'My IBM registration' page complete the User ID and Password fields, then type the password again in the Verify password field. You can select 'guidelines for IBM IDs and passwords' to bring up the Help and FAQ page for assistance in determining a suitable userid and password. Complete the remaining fields on the Register page. Most of the fields are self-explanatory. The fields designated with an asterisk (*) are required to complete this transaction; other fields are optional. Tip: Some fields have an arrow you can select to open a drop-down menu of items to choose from. There is an alternate way to complete these fields. Instead of selecting the arrow to open the drop-down list, tab to the field then type the first letter of the item you want and the item will automatically appear. If the item that appears begins with the letter you typed but is not the one you want, type the first letter again and the next item on the list beginning with that letter will appear. If the item that appears is still not the one you want, continue typing the first letter to progress through all of the items beginning with that letter until you reach the one you want. Using the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard will take you forward and backward through the entire list.
  4. When you have finished completing the Register page, select 'Continue' at the bottom of the page. Selecting 'Cancel' returns you to the Supply Portal home page. Note:The fields in the Address Information section are not required fields. However, if you complete only the Country field in the Address Information section, you will be asked to complete the remaining fields in that section after you select 'Continue'.
  5. A final Register page appears displaying the information you entered on the registration form. Review the information listed. If everything is accurate and complete, select 'Continue' and you will return to the Supply Portal home page; your registration is complete. It may take up to 15 minutes for your userid and password to become active.

What happens if I forget my password?

  1. Access the Supply Portal overview.
  2. Select 'Forgot password'. This takes you to the 'My IBM registration; Forgot your password?' page at the IBM Registration (IR) site.
  3. Type your user ID, then select 'Continue'. Another 'My IBM registration; Forgot your password?' page appears, listing your user ID and the challenge question you specified when you originally got your user ID and password.
  4. Type the answer to your challenge question and your new password in the fields of the same name. Type your new password again in the Verify new password field.
  5. Select 'Continue'. Another My IBM registration; Forgot your password? page appears advising that you may now use your new password.
  6. Select 'Continue' to return to the 'Supply Portal overview' page.

How do I change my password?

  1. Access the Supply Portal overview.
  2. Select 'Change password'. This takes you to the 'My IBM registration; Change password' page at the IBM Registration (IR) site.
  3. Type your user ID, current password and new password in the fields of the same name. Verify your new password by typing it again in the Verify new password field. The page provides brief guidelines for choosing an acceptable password.
  4. Select 'Continue'. Another 'My IBM registration; Change password' page appears advising that you may now use your new password.
  5. Select 'Continue' to return to the 'Supply Portal overview' page.

How do I update my profile?

  1. Access the Supply Portal overview.
  2. Select 'Register', 'Change password' or 'Forgot password'. This takes you to the My IBM Registration, Change password or Forgot password page at the IBM Registration (IR) site.
  3. To update profile in My IBM registration site, select 'Forgot password' from the 'Supply Portal overview' page, then select 'Change your email, change or add personal information, address information' blue text on the screen. The 'Sign in' page apprears. Type in your User ID and password, select 'Continue' , the profile page apprears.
  4. Change your profile information as desired (for example, challenge question/answer, name, phone number, address), then select 'Continue'. Another Profile page appears listing both the profile information you changed and the profile information that you did not change, and advising that your changes have been accepted.
  5. Select 'Continue' to return to the 'Supply Portal overview' page.

How do I search for a user?

  1. Access your personalized My Portal page from the Supply Portal overview.
  2. Select 'User' under the Search Function heading.
  3. The 'User search' page appears. Type any part of the userid (in lower case only) or name of the user who you want to search for in the field under the 'User search' heading. This field is case sensitive. Select 'Search' or press Enter.
  4. The 'User search results' page appears, displaying the name, user contacts and company of each user whose name matches your search criteria. If present, select 'Next', 'Previous', 'Last Page' and 'First Page' buttons to navigate around the search results. These buttons will not appear if your search results can be displayed on one page.
