IBM Helps Customers Manage Increasing Amounts Of Corporate Information With New Document Management Software

IBM Lotus Domino.Doc Expands Document Management Capabilities To Include Email Attachments And Reduces The Risk Of Mishandled Information

CAMBRIDGE, MA - 22 Aug 2002: IBM today announced the availability of new Lotus collaborative document management software to help customers manage important corporate documents and reduce the risk of mishandled business information.

Lotus' new version of its Domino.Doc software (version 3.5) can help organizations proactively capture, store and securely and appropriately manage the information contained in corporate documents, including email messages.

According to industry experts, executives rank content management as the second-highest technology priority this year. Document management, imaging and workflow are core technologies that deliver value under the content management umbrella*. Lotus Domino.Doc accelerates the decision-making process by enabling organizations to easily find, access and re-use the content being created within their organizations, which provides a competitive advantage and an increase in corporate productivity. In addition, Lotus Domino.Doc seamlessly integrates with leading corporate e-mail platforms, enabling the capture of critical information housed in electronic attachments and text messages.
