IBM and Roosevelt House Host Forum and Demo on New Ways to Strengthen, Better Prepare Teachers

NEW YORK, N.Y. - 24 Sep 2014: IBM and Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College will host a forum at the Roosevelt House in New York City on Tuesday, September 30th at 1:30 pm. There, technology that could one day act as a digital mentor to teachers will be demonstrated to top educators, policy makers, university presidents, deans of schools of education, testing companies and teachers' union leaders. Better teachers could mean higher test scores, more engaged students, and more successful graduates.

Media will see a demo of how teachers would be able to interact with innovative, digital teaching assistant technology that in the future could give teachers instant guidance and advice on everything from lesson plans to classroom strategy or identifying ways to help measure student progress. Luminaries in the education community will participate in a panel discussion on the potential of digital mentoring technology and how it could help with teachers' professional development.

On-site interviews will be available by prior request only.
