SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - 18 Mar 2009: IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that the Catholic University of Goiás in Brazil has signed an agreement with IBM to make its information technology (IT) environment more efficient.
The 36-month project will reduce costs by integrating the maintenance, updates and technical support of the institution's servers and software. As a result of the project, the management systems utilized daily by students and professors will have greater availability with 24 hour a day support for reduced interruptions of the IT environment.
The agreement was signed in the first quarter of 2009.
