SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - 20 Oct 2008: Mercedes-Benz in Brazil, the largest manufacturer of trucks and buses in Latin America, has signed a contract with IBM in Brazil (NYSE: IBM) to modernize and replace its network infrastructure equipment.
In addition to the update of the company's equipment and software, IBM will integrate the new network with all existing Mercedes-Benz systems during the next months, offering support and maintenance in 24/7 mode for three years. The project's goal is to ensure higher productivity, security, availability, management and control of the network infrastructure.
The agreement was signed in the third quarter of 2008.
