COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - 06 Oct 1999: -- ChannelPoint, Inc., the first Internet exchange provider for insurance, and IBM today announced a co-marketing agreement to promote IBM desktop computing solutions in the highly-profitable insurance market. As part of this initiative, IBM will make a broad array of IBM products and technologies easily available to registered brokers using ChannelPoint's Commerce Broker Internet-based insurance marketplace located at www.channelpoint.com.

IBM will offer a variety of the latest, leading-edge computing technologies through the ChannelPoint service. Specific packages include combinations of Aptiva(R) personal computers, PC 300 GL(TM) business computers, ThinkPad(R) laptops, WorkPad(R) personal digital assistants, printers, scanners, back-up disk drives, and related productivity software.
