IBM T56A 15 - 25 Jan 2000: is designed for users who want high performance, sharp and stable display characteristics in a stylish, space-saving form-factor. Incorporating a 12 percent reduction in bezel width from IBM's previous 15-inch TFT flat panel monitor, the IBM T56A includes a pivot feature accommodating both landscape and portrait screen positions. The T56A offers flicker free images with a resolution up to 1024 x 768 pels. Available in pearl white and black, the IBM T56A 15-inch flat panel monitor is generally available, for an estimated reseller price of $1,179 (6).

- IBM P96 19-inch CRT Monitor provides advanced users excellent color rendering with minimal glare and image distortion for the clearest picture possible. Incorporating the latest FD Trinitron (4) flat screen technology, the IBM P96 delivers truly accurate images with minimal glare and image distortion. The IBM P96 features a .24mm variable aperture grille pitch. A maximum horizontal frequency of 107kHz delivers an optimum resolution of 1280 x 1024 pels at 85Hz. Available in pearl white and black, the IBM P96 19-inch flat screen monitor will be generally available January 28, 2000, for an estimated reseller price of $619 (6).

Pricing and Availability

Estimated reseller prices (6) for the new IntelliStation models announced today (without monitor) start as low as $3,999 for the IBM IntelliStation Z Pro with Pentium III Xeon, 667 MHz; $3,009 for the IntelliStation M Pro with Pentium III, 667 MHz; and $2,779 for the IntelliStation E Pro with Pentium III, 667 MHz. To let users take advantage of the performance improvements available from multi-processing, Options by IBM is offering an additional 800MHz Pentium III processor $1,495 for the IntelliStation M Pro and Pentium III Xeon processors for the IntelliStation Z Pro at 667MHz ($985), 733MHz ($1,225) and 800MHz ($1,605). List prices for the IBM RS/6000 44P Model 270 start at $16,995 for a single processor system and $35,995 for a 4-way system. List prices for the Model 170 start at $10,495 for the 333 MHz-based system and $15,495 for the 400 MHz-based system (8).
