Hits to OLYMPICS.COM in a Single Day Sets New Olympic Games Record


Sydney, Tuesday - 19 Sep 2000: -- The official Olympic Games Web site Olympic.com, on a single day, Monday, September 18, set a new world record for Web traffic recording 683 million hits. This one-day tally surpasses the total traffic of 634 million hits received by the record setting Official site of the Nagano Olympic Games Web site during the entire 16 days of the Nagano Games in 1998.
