IBM and Relavis Corporation Form Strategic Alliance To Deliver e-Business Solutions for Mid Market Companies

CRM Solutions on WebSphere and Lotus Domino for Effective Communication, Collaboration, and Coordination in Managing Customer Relationships

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y - 30 Jul 2001: IBM and Relavis Corporation announce their strategic alliance to deliver comprehensive e-business solutions for collaborative customer relationship management (CRM) for sales, customer services and support, marketing, and channel management. The alliance will deliver solutions to all businesses with specific focus on the small and medium business segment.

A major goal of the IBM-Relavis alliance is to address the growing demand in the global mid-market for comprehensive and scalable CRM solutions that give businesses a strategic edge in managing their customer relationships. These CRM solutions keep external and internal teams focused on their customers' needs, facilitating long term, profitable relationships. Moreover, the collaborative underpinnings of these solutions allow companies to effectively communicate both within and beyond their organizations, as well as provide the ability to collaborate on sales, marketing and customer support. As a result, companies are able to make informed and timely decisions in a complex marketplace. IBM and Relavis will deliver solutions that positively impact customer loyalty and retention while increasing return on existing investments in hardware, software and training.

The Relavis eBusinessStreams(TM) software solution leverages IBM's e-Business infrastructure software, and is currently used by some of the world's best known companies, including hundreds of small and medium businesses in the Manufacturing, Banking, Finance - Securities, Health, Travel and Transportation industries.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will jointly market the Relavis eBusinessStreams suite of products along with IBM's middleware and hardware. Relavis will be positioning IBM and Lotus technologies, including WebSphere and DB2 Universal Database, as their preferred choices to customers.

The Relavis strategic alliance is another example of IBM's commitment to go-to-market with leading independent software vendors through the PartnerWorld for Developers program (http://www.developer.ibm.com). Under this initiative, IBM has signed agreements with companies that target industries such as financial services, retail, and manufacturing, and solution segments including enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, customer relationship management and business intelligence.

A History of Working Together
Relavis has formal relationships with IBM's Software Group and IBM Servers Group for offerings on IBM eServer pSeries, iSeries, and xSeries**, in addition to IBM's reselling Relavis solutions in Europe and Asia Pacific. Today's announcement enhances these key relationships, some of which span over 10 years, allowing IBM and Relavis the ability to jointly deliver complete solutions, including hardware, software and services to customers. Over the course of the relationship, Relavis has been recognized by IBM with prestigious partner designations and awards. Relavis is an IBM Premier Partner and a Lotus Global Alliance Partner. Relavis is also the recipient of seven Beacon awards, including the 2001 IBM Beacon Award for "Greatest Business Impact" and the 2001 Lotus Beacon Award for "Best e-Business CRM Solution."
