Galveston National Labs Employs IBM Software to Help Fight Infectious Disease

    Date added: 23 Feb 2010

Galveston National Laboratory’s critically important biomedical equipment and engineering processes are managed, calibrated and monitored by IBM Maximo software. The laboratory is dedicated to the study and prevention of emerging infectious diseases such as SARS, West Nile encephalitis, avian flu and hemorrhagic fevers (such as Ebola). The biomedical equipment includes air-flow handlers, decontaminating showers, door seals and locks. IBM software helps these assets operate efficiently to assure safe and secure operations.
