Sanjay Rishi is Managing Partner for Cloud Consulting Services at IBM. He is responsible for IBM’s portfolio of cloud consulting services and leads a global team focused on helping clients harness cloud computing technology to drive business innovation across their value chains. Under Sanjay’s direction, IBM has been recognized by IDC as a worldwide leader in cloud professional services.
Sanjay has more than 25 years of progressive consulting and industry experience leading large, multifunctional transformation programs for clients. Prior to assuming his current role, Sanjay was Managing Partner for Global Application Innovation Services, where he led application development and integration services for IBM.
Prior to joining IBM, Sanjay was CIO and Group Vice President – Information Technology and Strategic Planning for Johnson Controls Automotive. Serving the dual role as CIO and strategic business advisor enabled Sanjay to lead and affect sustainable transformational change for the company. As CIO, he launched comprehensive multi-million dollar ERP and PLM programs, restructured the organization, and instituted global processes and methods.
During his career, Sanjay has served as a Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Vice President and Global Automotive Industry Leader for IBM, and Vice President for IBM Global Strategy. In addition to helping clients transform their organizations, processes, and technologies, Sanjay has also managed complex post-merger integration efforts.
Sanjay holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. from Florida Institute of Technology, and is currently pursuing his Doctoral studies in Management and Executive Leadership.
He is a frequent speaker on cloud strategy and emerging technologies at industry and technology conferences, and has been a contributing columnist to business and trade publications.
