Brad Gammons is General Manager for IBM’s Global Energy and Utility Industry. He has overall responsibility for the industry’s strategy, sales execution, solution development, operations, and marketing. He is also responsible for IBM’s cross-industry growth initiative, Smart Lifecycle Asset Management.
Brad is currently on assignment in Beijing, China, where, in addition to his worldwide responsibilities, he leads IBM’s energy and utility growth case and manages the local E&U sales organization. In previous positions with IBM, Brad served as Vice President of Energy and Utilities Sales and Solutions, Industry Business Leader for Energy and Utilities in the Americas, and as a Segment Executive for ERP and Supply Chain Solutions for IBM’s Communications Sector in the Americas.
Brad has also acted as a Principle and Project Executive in IBM's Rapid Application Development Practices. There, he focused on selling and delivering custom applications and systems integration projects to the Utility, Public Sector, and Telecommunication Industries.
Before joining IBM, Brad served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He held positions in strategy and planning and as a flight crew member on a B-52. Brad's formal education includes a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Finance, as well as extensive professional training while serving in the military.
Brad is a member of the IBM Industry Academy, co-chairs the smart grid working group of the US-China Energy Cooperation Program, and has testified before the U.S. Congress about energy issues.
