Mark Hennessy was appointed general manager, IBM Global Business Partners and Midmarket, in January 2012, and is responsible for leading the organization that supports IBM's approximately 120,000 Business Partners.
Mark was previously general manager, IBM Northeast Europe, a position he held since January 2011. Since joining IBM in 1980, Mark has held a series of management and executive posts including vice president of global strategy and sales transformation where he was responsible for driving IBM’s sales and distribution strategy as well as global field operations.
Earlier, Mark was vice president and chief information officer for IBM and was responsible for global integration initiatives and technology operations worldwide. Throughout his career Mark has held a diverse series of management positions including roles as Regional Business Partner Executive in North America and Distribution Channels Executive in Global Marketing.
A graduate of Boston College, Mark earned a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
