Full biography
Stephen Leonard is the Chief Executive for IBM in the UK and Ireland, where he leads IBM’s overall business and is responsible for a workforce of around 20,000 people.
Prior to his current role, Stephen served as Vice President Sales, North America IBM Systems and Technology Group based in New York.
Stephen joined IBM in 1990 as a Technical Instructor in London. During his career with the company, he has held a variety of sales, sales management and leadership positions, in different parts of the organisation and in multiple global geographies.
In addition to his responsibilities as Chief Executive for IBM in the UK and Ireland, Stephen is a member of the CBI Presidents Club, the e-Skills UK IT and Telecoms Board, the Green Economy Council and the CEO Start Advisory Board.
Born and raised in Scotland, Stephen holds a degree in applied physics and electronics from Dundee University. He is married with three young children.
