IBM AND KOREA EXCHANGE RENEW INTEGRATED MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

SEOUL, KOREA - 30 janv. 2009: IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that it has renewed a contract for integrated maintenance services with the Korea Exchange (KRX). IBM has been providing integrated maintenance services to KRX since December 2006.

IBM is offering comprehensive maintenance and contract management services to KRX, ranging from system hardware, software, middleware, network, facilities and equipment. IBM provides KRX with integrated maintenance and management for system-related services that ensures a single point of contact to users and IT support departments.

ENDESA SIGNS A 7-YEAR, 360 MILLION EURO IT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH IBM

 

ENDESA Unifies the Management of Its IT Infrastructure in Spain and Latin America

                   

ARMONK, NY - 29 Jan 2009: ENDESA and IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced the signature of a seven-year 360 million Euro agreement for IBM to manage all the infrastructure and information technology (IT) solutions that ENDESA uses in Spain and Latin America. The agreement will allow Endesa an estimated cost saving of 20%.

 

ENDESA will leverage IBM's global leadership in technology innovation to be able to get the following benefits: implement a unified global IT model for all the countries to help capitalize on its global scale to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and intensify its investments in core IT initiatives; create an IT platform prepared to immediately support their worldwide growth strategy; reduce the energy consumption of its IT platform in Latin America by around 50% (this could mean 1.290 CO2 Tons); and increase its security levels.

SONY ERICSSON AND IBM SIGN A 5-YEAR OUTSOURCING AGREEMENT

IBM GETS ADDITIONAL BUSINESS FROM IDEA CELLULAR TO INTEGRATE IT OPERATIONS IN TWO MORE SERVICE AREAS IN INDIA

 

Eight-Year Transformation Services Contract Includes Integration of Software Applications, Hardware, Data Center Operations, IT Help-Desk and Transition Services

                   

MUMBAI, INDIA - 29 Jan 2009: IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that it will integrate the end-to-end information technology (IT) operations of IDEA Cellular, a leading telecom operator, in two service areas of Punjab and Karnataka in India. Through the acquisition of Spice Communications, IDEA Cellular has recently launched its services in the two areas with a subscriber base of approximately four million.

 

The scope of the eight-year agreement, signed in December 2008, includes integration, transition and migration of existing Spice applications, hardware, packages and products to the IDEA Transformed Applications platform. As part of the deal, IBM will manage all IT operations and services for IDEA's business in Punjab and Karnataka. In addition, IBM will migrate the IT help desk services to its state-of-the-art centralized helpdesk in Pune.

IBM SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

        

ARMONK, NY - 28 Jan 2009: IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that it has signed a multi-year information technology (IT) services agreement with Whirlpool Corporation. Under terms of the contract, IBM will provide Whirlpool with global infrastructure services in more than 40 countries.

 

IBM will help bring global standardization of processes, enhanced speed of delivery and flexibility and scalability allowing Whirlpool to better align its IT operations to changing business needs. As part of the agreement, IBM will provide mainframe, server, storage, network, desk side support and help desk services.

IBM SIGNS OUTSOURCING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH

GRUPO NACIONAL PROVINCIAL

 

ARMONK, NY - 26 Jan 2009:  IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP), one of the largest insurance companies in Mexico, has signed a five-year contract, with two optional extension years, for infrastructure and application outsourcing services.

IBM will simplify and consolidate GNP's information technology (IT) infrastructure making it easier to manage. GNP will also implement new processes and tools to help the internal application development group be more productive and generate less error-prone applications.
