Full biography

In his current role, Steve leads Business Transformation and Information Technology (BT/IT) initiatives to support IBM’s business, and workforce, across Australia and New Zealand. Steve, and his team are committed to providing a robust infrastructure, essential productivity tools and innovative solutions to satisfy the needs of IBM’s dynamic business.

Steve has been working in the ICT industry for 30 years, and has extensive experience in application development, project management, business operations, infrastructure management, and people management.  Steve is regularly engaged by IBM business units, industry organisations and the media for his expertise and experience in areas such as Mobility, Cloud Computing, the Workplace of the Future and IBM’s Transformation Journey.

Steve’s experience includes 7 years in international application development and project management, where he was responsible for the development, deployment and maintenance of a number of common applications that supported IBM’s operations across Asia Pacific, Latin America, and finally across the globe. Steve also spent 18 months in New York working in the IBM Human Resources IT group. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the development, deployment and maintenance of HR applications across the corporation and aligning these to skills and people capital.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing Science) with 1st Class Honours from the NSW Institute of Technology (University of Technology, Sydney).
