Full biography
Dr Taggart Lidbury is the Well-being Manager for IBM in Australia and New Zealand. He and his team of health and safety professionals manage all health-related issues across the organisation. This includes assisting people with health problems, preventing health issues through safety programs and enabling people to improve their health to get more out of work and life. Taggart is a medical doctor who has done specialist training to become a qualified Occupational Physician (OP). An OP’s focus is on the effects of work on health and conversely, health on work. An OP’s approach is holistic, recognising not only the biological but also the social and psychological; treating not just the individual but also the population. Before working for IBM, Taggart has provided specialist occupational medicine services to the NSW public sector and also worked in an occupational medicine private practice.
