Full biography

Edward Orange has been with IBM for 14 years and is General Manager, Software Group, Australia/New Zealand. Prior to this he was VP, Information Management, responsible for IBM's Information and Business Analytics Group. Edward also ran the LOTUS Collaboration Software business across Asia Pacific and the emerging markets of the world. In this role, Edward managed the entire business surrounding IBM's Lotus Notes and Domino, Websphere Portal, Sametime, Symphony, IBM SaaS LotusLive offerings along with the Lotus Connections products.

Edward has held various roles in IBM including Director of Strategy and Marketing, Software Group, Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the success of the IBM SOA strategy along with IBM’s Lotus, Tivoli, Rational, Websphere and IM products which grew 15% YTY. From 1999 to 2005 Edward was the Director of Marketing and Strategy for the Asia Pacific Systems and Technology Group where he launched the company Linux, e-business and on-demand initiatives and helped increase IBMs' Server & Storage marketing share by eight points.

Mr Orange's career includes 18 years in the IT industry involving sales and marketing roles within HP, Lotus, Reuters, Camus and Lion Nathan in the UK, US and Japan.
