The Program
|
The IBM ISS Trial Reseller Program is designed to allow resellers to explore how IBM's products can help grow their business. The objective is to broaden reseller sales coverage in the mid-market space with entry level IBM Internet Security Systems (ISS) products and services.
Resellers will purchase ISS products and services through an IBM Authorized Distributor -- Ingram Micro Inc., and can market them to End Users in Canada. IBM has designed a streamlined application and approval process to help resellers get selling quickly.
The Trial program is a six-month program. At the end of the trial program period, we expect the reseller to have sold a minimum of $5,000 worth of ISS products and/or services. We will then offer the reseller the opportunity to apply and obtain the approval for the authorized IBM ISS reseller status, which has a revenue target of $35,000 for the first two years period.
Reseller who did not meet the minimum sales requirement of $5,000 after the six-month trial period may not be invited to join the ISS Program. |

Application selection criteria
|
|
The following criteria must be met to be eligible for consideration to participate in the IBM ISS Trial Reseller program:
- Functioning Company web site or Government Business Registration
- Company email address
- Business location must be located in Canada
- Can not be currently employed by IBM
- Manufacturers, Brokers, and Surplus/Used Computer Resellers, will not be considered for participation in the IBM Trial program
IBM reserves the right to consider other factors, including IBM strategic requirements, when considering an applicant. Achievement of the listed criteria does not entitle the applicant to automatic eligibility. IBM may approve or decline an applicant at its sole discretion.

What happens after I submit my registration?
|
- Your application will be received and reviewed by IBM. If approved, it will be forwarded to the participating Distributor – Ingram Micro Inc.
- The distributor will be in touch with you within 5 business days and is your main point of contact for this Trial Program.

| What products are eligible? |
- Trail reseller under this program can sell the full suite of IBM ISS products and services. However, focus will be on M Series.
|
Eligibility for Business Partner Emblem and Marketing Incentives |
- Trial reseller is not eligible to use the IBM Business Partner emblem, which is approved only for resellers who sign the IBM Business Partner Agreement for Resellers.
- Trail reseller is not eligible for any Marketing Incentives
