Biography

Jean Staten Healy manages a marketing and business development organization with the responsibility for IBM Linux strategy across all company brands. In this role she coordinates the cross-company strategy for Linux including the achievement of revenue goals, ensures rapid response to changes in the market environment and acts as the IBM spokesperson in the Linux space.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Staten Healy was the Director of Marketing Strategy in the IBM Software Group, Director of Business Development and Regulatory Affairs in the IBM Systems and Technology Group, Director of Innovation Initiatives at IBM Corporate Headquarters, and the IBM Customer Advocate in the Office of the Chairman and CEO. In addition, she has held management positions in the IBM Global Services Group. Ms. Staten Healy has lived and worked in Asia.

She holds a M.A. degree in theoretical linguistics and a J.D. with a certificate of concentration in International Law. Ms. Staten Healy is licensed to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut and is a published author on various legal topics.

Scott Crenshaw

Biography

Scott Crenshaw leads Red Hat's Cloud Business Unit, responsible for Red Hat's Cloud Computing and virtualization businesses. In addition, Scott leads the company's drive to integrate marketing across all business units. Prior to this position, Scott was the Vice President leading the company's Platform Business Unit, which includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well as the company's MRG, storage and client product lines.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Scott was Chief Executive Officer of NTRU, a leading innovator in security technology whose investors included Greylock, Lehman Brothers, Sony, and Texas Instruments. Scott held a number of executive positions at enterprise software vendor Datawatch, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Product Development. Earlier, he held engineering roles at IBM and start-ups. Scott is a Sloan Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management; he received an MBA from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.

Biography

Jim Wasko is Director of IBM's Linux Technology Center (LTC) where he is responsible for Linux development across IBM's broad product portfolio. Prior to leading the LTC, he spent the previous 3 years as the Program Director for Cloud Computing development within IBM's Systems and Technology group. Previous positions include managing Linux development and support organizations within IBM.

Biography

As a member of SUSE Linux Senior Leadership, Alan focuses on Linux, industry initiatives and emerging standards. To facilitate the awareness and adoption of open source and open standards, Alan chairs the openSUSE project, serves as a Director for the Linux Foundation and participates in several Industry forum steering committees, technical committees and work groups and other open source projects.

With over 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer, a principal portion of Alan's career has been devoted to the research and development of operating systems and distributed multi-platform server services. His experience is with file systems, Directory Services, LDAP Services, Object Databases, Security, Developer Interfaces, Web Services, Network Protocols and more.
