  Top of the line
Linux LineOn-demand Linux Sam Palmisano, Chairman and CEO of IBM Corporation, has declared that we have entered an "On Demand" era, where companies that employ open IT tools to stay flexible and adaptive will have an edge over those that are rigid and inflexible. IBM has matched its verbal Linux commitment with an unrivaled portfolio of hardware, software, support, services and solutions... from Linux consolidation on eServer platforms and Linux Virtual Services, to Linux-enabled autonomic technologies.

Interview with Karl Freund
The Linux Line talks to Karl Freund, IBM's Vice President of Solution Marketing for pSeries, about near-and long-term implications of IBM's advanced pSeries servers on Linux customers. Freund points the way to computing scenarios that will result, and the likely impact of the advanced pSeries on Linux power users, such as research and national labs and financial and retail customers. Freund also takes a look at the potential impact of pSeries Linux in the public sector, for national governments like India, Germany, and China.
