What is the IBM Linux Integration Center
The Linux Integration Center (LIC) is a worldwide pre-sales technical support and integrated-solution team. We are dedicated to bringing Linux Technology to the marketplace by removing technical inhibitors for our customers and business partners who wish to deploy IBM software on Linux. We have broad skills in Linux operating systems (Red Hat and Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux distributions), IBM Middleware (Enterprise, Express and Community Edition), development tools and hardware platforms, along with the expertise and experience to put it all together.
The Linux Integration Center provides two types of technical assistance:
- The LIC helps new midmarket customers looking to deploy solutions that feature IBM Middleware and Linux. Our services include proof of concepts, best practices and initial deployment support. Contact your IBM sales representative for more information.
- The LIC helps business partners who want to develop and deliver an integrated software solutions on Linux. The LIC has pre-funded resources available to help define and build the right solution stack. This can include the hardware, operating system, Middleware, applications and tools needed to allow your solution to be fully installed and configured with minimal interaction and services by your staff. We will work with your technical staff to create a repeatable but expandable solution stack which they can use as a basis for new or modified solutions as future opportunities dictate. Having these skills and assets in-house will allow your company to respond much quicker to new opportunities. We also have marketing and sales resources that are available to jointly build and take the solution to market. This service is available to PartnerWorld members. If you would like to explore the integrated build and delivery of one of your applications or business solutions please contact us at: swglic@us.ibm.com.
