Panel Discussion: Open Virtualization - Ready for Business
Wednesday March 7, 2012
11:00am – 11:50am
Track: Cloud and New Models for Service, session # 1232

At last year's Pulse, a popular Birds-of-a-Feather session was about the KVM hypervisor and whether it was yet enterprise-grade. One year later, much has happened to KVM, from the formation of the Open Virtualization Alliance, to security certification and leadership performance benchmarks, to enterprise cloud adoption. Come and hear a panel of virtualization experts discuss how Open Virtualization is now Ready for Business. Chaired by IBM, the panelists will include Red Hat, co-founder of the OVA, enterprise customers, and an architect of IBM’s SmartCloud Enterprise which is built on KVM.
