Visual Match

Visual MatchHow do you help fans have a better understanding of a match’s outcome?

The “Visual Match”is an example of presenting tennis scoring data in a visual manner. This “momentum graph” fully reproduces the crucial moments of a match on a graphic that can help a casual or non-tennis fan understand the “momentum” of a match: who won this point? Which technique was used to win the point? When was the turning point of the match? Which game was the more competitive?... This interactive experience will also have data for the match displayed on mouse rollover so users can gain further insight into the points that are won or lost.

For all completed Men’s and Women’s singles matches users will be able to view a match in a graphical format to help understand the “momentum” changes of the match.

During Roland-Garros 2008, more than 45,000 points were registered and analysed in the Women’s and Men’s draws.
