How do you get fans up close and personal with players without disrupting the match?

Each year IBM works with the Fédération Française de Tennis to create and host the official tournament website. A major attraction for many fans is My Players where they can customise their tournament experience to get the most from every match. After choosing up to five of their favourite stars, they can follow their progress with stats, scores, match results, interviews and news stories. It’s an effective way for Roland-Garros to engage with fans and generate a sense of participation.

There are 128 players registered in the Men’s draw and 128 in the Women’s draw at Roland-Garros, among whom tennis fans can select their 5 favourite athletes.
