Proven technology
|
Scientists at Aventis needed access to Oracle-based cheminformatics data scattered across multiple global research sites. IBM Websphere Information Integrator was chosen to provide global integrated access to databases in four Aventis locations.
The solution:
- Provides single-query access to data residing in multiple heterogeneous data sources, both locally and remotely.
- Permits queries across several data sources and optimizes performance, reducing the time needed to get back results difficult or impossible to obtain in a conventional way.
- Eliminates many database currency and synchronization issues—Websphere Information Integrator queries the original distributed data sources without modifying or copying the data.
