IBM solution helps U.K. Royal Navy exchange data during military operations

An IBM customer success story

NATO has developed data link standards that are being implemented by all major NATO members and a number of other friendly nations. However, the new links aren’t compatible with legacy links without some form of interface to allow communications to flow among them. For the armed forces of NATO member countries, such as the Royal Navy, the potential problems are lack of real-time access to critical information; reduced speed of decision-making; and risk of “friendly-fire” incidents. Learn how and why the U.K. Royal Navy is using the IBM Data Link Processing System (DLPS) to be the intelligent interface that will help it meet these challenges.
