IBM Executive Briefing and Competency Centers assist banking and IT professionals with implementations of on demand banking transformation and solutions. At these centers, participants come from around the world to take advantage of IBM's broad industry knowledge, financial expertise, and reliable, scalable and resilient product solutions.



The Merlin Center
The Merlin Center is a unique executive briefing center focused on the customer experience. Banking executives are immersed in a showcase of smart banking ideas and solutions that help bring new value to the retail branch. Located in Stamford, CT, the Merlin Center is co-sponsored with John Ryan Performance, an internationally recognized merchandising firm.

Industry Solution Labs
Two IBM Industry Solution Labs, located in Hawthorne, NY, and Zurich, Switzerland, are part of the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, the largest industrial research organization in the world. Research encompasses IT hardware, such as semiconductors and systems technology, and software, including security, programming, mathematics and speech technologies.

Global Solution Center
The Global Solution Center (GSC), near Dallas, TX is dedicated to developing leading-edge, on demand banking solutions. The branch and multi-channel reference architecture and prototype implementation include service-based architecture, role-based workplace portals, contact centers and a new focus on transforming the account opening process to improve efficiency and cost.

EMEA Center of Competence for Banking Front Office
Located in Barcelona, Spain, this center provides advanced business and technical-level counseling on innovative on demand technologies from IBM labs and selected IBM Business Partners. Our branch of the future-or smart branch-demonstration helps banking executives envision the future by integrating the newest technologies and developments in retail sales techniques.

IBM Banking Solution Centre in Beijing, China
This solution center is focused exclusively on branch banking solutions. Briefings help customers understand how IBM branch solutions can solve business needs. Customers see demos highlighting: increased productivity, extended self-service, centralized skills, infrastructure enablement and network enablement.

IBM Executive Briefing Center, Montpellier, France
During the Building a Smart Bank Operating Environment briefing, customers see a live demonstration of an operational, on demand bank supporting twelve million accounts. The demonstration starts from a typical bank environment, with transition examples to the On Demand Business model, highlighting major banking processes with proof points from both the business process integration and infrastructure technology perspectives.

Centers for IBM e-business Innovation
Located worldwide-including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Edmonton, Hamburg, Madrid, Milan, Rome, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington, DC-each center features unified execution teams who are dedicated to creating, building and deploying Web solutions that achieve accelerated speed-to-market. The centers offer demonstrations in digital video surveillance, wearable computers, mobile workforce enablement, smart card, digital media and digital asset management.

IBM Innovation Centers for Business Partners, worldwide
These state-of-the-art facilities provide cross-platform education, consulting, porting and testing services for Business Partners, who can work on site or remotely through IBM's security-rich Virtual Private Network (VPN). The Dallas center supports the Virtual Loaner Program, providing access to virtual test and development environments on IBM eServer pSeries® and iSeries™ servers on a self-service basis; the Linux Test Drive, providing remote access to Linux systems across IBM eServer platforms; and the Remote Development Program, offering a test and development environment on IBM eServer zSeries® servers.
