K-12 Remote Support Suite
What is it?
A suite of remote support tools, configured for the K-12 environment, to provide:
- Remote control and monitoring of a Fileserver (F/S) across a LAN/WAN/Internet
- Remote control of Novell or Windows console
- Remote F/S Monitoring of Novell/NT NOS and F/S hardware
- Enables central support staff to be automatically notified when things begin to go wrong with your F/S hardware and software
- LOGIN to F/S across WAN/Internet
- Enables central support staff log into a F/S via the WAN/Internet and perform any function that can be performed if they were attached locally (subject to bandwidth limitations)
- Powerful tool for application problem determination, file transfer, and F/S problem determination
- Remote control and monitoring of Workstations (W/Ss) across the LAN
- Enables SYSOP to take control of any W/S on the LAN
- Powerful tool for problem determination and delivery of how-to help
- Centralized W/S rebuild
- Powerful tool for problem resolution (rebuild W/Ss rather than diagnose W/S S/W problems)
- Powerful tool for W/S maintenance (ensure all W/Ss are identical - WIN 9x/XP/Vista, applications, BIOS)
- Unattended W/S rebuild and BIOS flash if W/Ss are Wake-On-Lan and remote boot capable
- Automatic distribution of updates to W/Ss
- Enables the local SYSOP to automatically distribute small changes to all the workstations without having to physically walk around to each W/S
- Single click chat connection to the District Help Desk from any workstation (NT servers only)
- Enables users to contact tech support even if there is no phone available
