Denial-of-Service Attacks
This paper is written to help those concerned about denial-of-service (DoS) attacks as recently afflicted e-Bay, Yahoo, Amazon.com and other well-known online companies. The purpose of the paper is to provide executives with an understanding of the problem and a view of the risk management approach their companies can take to bolster Web site defenses, and to provide practitioners with explanations of popular DoS attack methods, and best practices they can implement to protect their sites from becoming easy prey for similar attacks.
Diversifying Program Delivery
This paper was commissioned by the Saskatchewan School Trustees Association with support from Saskatchewan Education to explore alternate strategies for program delivery. This paper calls for support and action toward diversifying program delivery to extend learning opportunities in rural and northern areas and to enhance the capacity to respond to individual needs and circumstances. Technology and Change: Impossible to Resist

"Change and technology are two themes that we can no longer avoid. It seems as though every conference, seminar, and journal has something to say on one or both topics...In describing a vision for global education in the 21st century, it is important to begin with a perspective on technology and the transformations it is catalyzing. Understanding these transformations will help us determine the best path for education's evolution to the organization our society will need in the 21st century."
