Earlier this year, IBM released the Global CEO Study 2006. This study focused on the topic of innovation-a deeper and more focused examination of the challenge of unlocking new innovation and the opportunities it presents to the enterprises that do it most effectively. Many of IBM's industry teams, including automotive, have developed an industry point of view (PoV) based on the findings of this study. The Automotive PoV was developed using actual response data from the automotive executives interviewed for the study and from IBM's automotive team perspective on the implications of the global study to the automotive industry.
