Sam Mitra has spent more than 30 years working with clients in management consulting, information technology (IT) strategy and application, business transformation, enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and deployment, and sales and systems engineering management.
He has designed, developed, managed and delivered workshops and courses for IBM consultants, sales and marketing professionals, IBM business partners and agents.
Mr. Mitra is also responsible for facilitating key IBM annual account planning sessions while working with sales leadership teams throughout IBM in the U.S. He has taught both EBI and non-EBI courses to clients in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
He joined IBM in 1978 after working as a mechanical design engineer and industrial engineer for seven years in the U.S. manufacturing sector.
His IBM experience includes executive education, consulting, management, skills planning and development, and sales and marketing. He was a Manufacturing Industry Specialist and Systems Engineer and was responsible for selling and implementing IBM products and services.
Mr. Mitra is an IBM Certified Consultant, certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), and also certified in InsideOut Coaching.
He earned his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University College of Engineering at Sambalpur, India, MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Finance from the University of Baltimore.
