Gerald Mahon has over 30 years industry experience in retail and distribution, supply chain management, and retail consulting. His experience includes:

• Educational design, development, deployment and delivery for curriculums in business strategy, business design, business process design and process mapping
• Management consulting for IBM Global Services, providing thought leadership to business and IT senior executives in areas of business and IT strategy, business design, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise architecture, business transformation and process redesign
• Retail and distribution experience at a major traditional department store group where he held a number of roles such as manager of a store, distribution, financial operations, merchandise and accounting, and a buyer and merchandise planner

Mr. Mahon is a Consulting Faculty member at the IBM Executive Business Institute and joined EBI after eight years as a Management Consultant in IBM Global Services. He was a member of the Business and IT Strategy discipline where he led a team that designed and developed the Business and IT Strategy and Design content, which is now used worldwide in the core Business Strategy curriculum. He is currently an instructor in the worldwide delivery of Business Process Design, Process Mapping, Business Strategy and Aligning Business and IT Strategies workshops.

Mr. Mahon has guest-lectured at Eastern Michigan University on Business Strategy and Planning and has co-presented numerous retail seminars on inventory control, merchandise planning and allocation applications, and approaches and solutions for gross margin planning.

Mr. Mahon earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting (minor in Marketing) from the University of Detroit. He has pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan and Georgia State University. He is an IBM Certified Professional.
