Jeannette Kittredge Watson  

IBM appoints Jeannette Kittredge Watson, the widow of legendary IBM President Thomas J. Watson, Sr., as the first female member of the Board of Directors.

 
· IBM names Veronica Knizikiaucis its first female routing analyst. The position entails the preparation of engineering specifications for manufacturing processes.

Ivy Woo, a secretary, joins IBM Hong Kong as its first female employee.
