Thomas Watson

Talks about growth and opportunity at IBM - Additional information

In a 1937 address at IBM's Sales & Customer Service Schools in Endicott, N.Y., President Thomas J. Watson discusses the keys to success in life. He says that based on his first 23 years in IBM, he sees vast potential for future growth for every employee and for the company. "I honestly believe the opportunity for developing this business is beyond the vision of any man in this room," he tells the students from 15 countries, "because only five percent of the accounting and recording work of the world is now being done by machines."
