The first meeting of the Hundred Percent Club in Atlantic City, New Jersey  

The first meeting of the Hundred Percent Club, composed of IBM salesmen who meet their quotas, convenes in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The horizontal sorting machine is introduced with a speed of 360 cards per minute. The first standard duplicator is manufactured.

Accounting machines are introduced in Japan.

IBM opens an office in the Philippines, and the Vincennes, France, plant is completed.
