IBM 305 RAMAC

During the summer of 1959, an IBM 305 RAMAC exhibited at an international trade fair in Moscow was used to answer the questions of Soviet citizens. On the fair's opening day, IBM World Trade Corporation president Arthur K. Watson (center, facing left) introduces the RAMAC to U.S. Vice President Richard M. Nixon (far left) and Soviet Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev (in the light suit). Nixon and Khrushchev later engaged in the famous "Kitchen Debate" while visiting another exhibit at the fair.
