It's sometime in 1924 and four proud IBM salesmen stand outside the company's branch office in the Equitable Building at 816 Fourteenth Street, N.W., in Washington, D.C. This was the year in which the company's name was changed from the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Co. to International Business Machines, and the branch's signage includes both names, as well as several of the company's components, such as the International Time Recording Co. (VV2037)
