Frank H. McCracken was the third and last general
manager of IBM's Supplies Division.
He joined IBM in 1946 as a sales representative
in Chicago. He subsequently served as manager
of sales offices in St. Louis and Pittsburgh.
In March 1958, McCracken became manager of District
11 in Chicago and later that year was named manager
of marketing services for the Data Processing
Division's Midwestern Region. He was made regional
manager in 1961, and in January 1962, became vice
president of the Data Processing Division.
McCracken was named general manager of the Supplies Division (later renamed Information Records Division) in June 1964, and was made president of IRD in March 1966.
He was elected vice president and group executive in October 1967. In September 1968, he became vice president - management services staff in the Data Processing Division. |
