IBM 7565 Manufacturing System

Controlled by an IBM Series/1 computer, the IBM 7565 Manufacturing System was introduced in 1983 as a versatile productivity tool for a variety of industries including electronics, automotive, aerospace and appliance. An operator could program the system through either the keyboard/display or a programmable, handheld teach pendant (on the top left corner of the manipulator's frame). The 7565 was programmed in AML (A Manufacturing Language), a powerful, easily used programming language developed by IBM researchers specifically for robotic applications.
