Division headquarters

White Plains, N.Y.

Flying above the intersection of Interstates 287 and 684 in White Plains, N.Y., we're looking down at an office building at 1133 Westchester Avenue, which was for more than three decades the flagship of IBM's marketing and services organization in the United States.

During the 1970s "Eleven Thirty-three" served as the headquarters of the "big iron" Data Processing Division (DPD), and in January 1982 it became the head office of DPD's successor: the National Accounts Division (NAD).

In more recent years, the 560,000-square foot building was occupied by about 2,200 employees of IBM's global sales and distribution organization and several other staffs. In 2005, the site became a multi-tenant facility, with the south wing partially occupied by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.
