This model was made by E. J. Von Peine, an IBM engineer, as a prototype exhibit for the 1939 New York World's Fair and was showcased in IBM's Pavilion with time recording products. The World Clock is surrounded by 24 individual clocks indicating the time in the time zones around the globe. |
