Manufactured by Ludwig Spitz & Company of Berlin in 1923, this machine incorporated many improvements over the original Thomas Arithmometer. It retained a setting lever principle but had shorter marker slots. The figures at the sides of each slot are very small although the machine has a sight hole to the left of each slot displaying a large figure showing the same number to which the marker is set.
