Marchant Calculator

The Marchant is a pin-wheel (Odhner wheel) machine. Originally, two models were manufactured: the Pony and the Standard, which differed in size. The latter model was motorized in 1915, ending the "coffee grinder" action. The Marchant Calculating Machine Company received a special award for this innovation at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. In 1922 the first keyboard model was introduced to replace the barrel-shaped, lever-set models making up the original Marchant line.
